Thoughts on Reconstruction Tourism "Educational Trip"-Iwate Reconstruction Tourism Promotion Council-

Valued learning that can be found only in the lands affected by the earthquake

We, Iwate Reconstruction Tourism Promotion Council, work in cooperation with local governments, companies, NPOs, etc., find out high value-added local resources (natural environment, people’s actions and thoughts etc.) in the coastal areas of Iwate Prefecture, and refine them as contents that can be learned from the earthquake disaster. Then we plan the educational tourism to learn about the earthquake disaster, disaster prevention and reconstruction, and actively disseminate the wisdom and lessons of disaster prevention and mitigation both domestically and internationally.

We were established with the aim to contribute for continuous expansion and stabilization of the exchanged population, and the revitalization of the region's economy and employment through the above.

And this time, we planned this model course to introduce to everyone the "Valued learning that can be found only in the lands affected by the earthquake" which can only be obtained in Sanriku Iwate.

The "Iwate Reconstruction Tourism Promotion Council" proposes an optimal original plan for educational trips such as this model course, making use of the local network, taking into account the needs of customers.
