Nakanohama was a green campsite adjacent to the coast, but during the Great East Japan Earthquake, a tsunami of over 15 meters hit the beach and was severely damaged. Currently, campsite toilets and cooking areas are preserved as earthquake disaster remains, and they are used as the “Shinsai(earthquake disaster) Memorial Park Nakanohama” where the damaged facilities can be seen as they were.
