It is a stone of 3.8m in length, 3.1m in width, 2m in height and about 30t in weight that has been washed away from the river mouth by the Showa Sanriku Great Tsunami(1933). Although it was buried once in the Showa 30s(1955-1964), the road was destroyed by this great earthquake, and it has appeared again and become a monument to convey the lessons of the earthquake.
